If you want to stay in Amsterdam but close to the train station for the quick ride to Schiphol then art’otel amsterdam is the best choice. But if you did want more choice, all of the following are a short drive to Schiphol and provide free shuttle service to and from the terminal (free parking is sometimes included in the room rate): Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport, Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam, and Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. With all the above hotels within walking distance of the airport, there’s little reason to venture farther for airport accommodations.
Both Mercure Hotel Schiphol Terminal and Yotelair Amsterdam Schiphol Transit Hotel are located “airside” (inside customs and immigration) and are good for a short stay for passengers in transit. The citizenM Schiphol Airport is slightly farther, requires going outside (though there’s a covered walkway), and is not quite as easy to find – but I still consider it an easy walk and a fine choice. Both are a short indoor walkway from the arrivals hall. The Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol are the two best located hotels at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. From here it’s an easy walk down an indoor walkway to the Sheraton and Hilton (the citizenM requires a short walk outside). In the area near the train station there will be signs for the airport hotels.
